Preseason predictions by division

Posted on 03 September 2009 by Chris

Every year there are one or two teams that stand out… either in a good way or bad way. But to be totally honest, each and every team start out with the same record. It isn’t until the end of the season that true judgments can be made, but that isn’t going to stop me from making a few predictions about how I think things are going to turn out.

Here they are, my predictions for the 2009 NFL season!!

Don’t delete my comment because I proved a valid point! There is no way all the teams can be a collective 39 games above .500! MATT DAMON DISAPPROVES!

Apologies for deleting your first comment, it was an accident.

To respond to your comment, I say this, the records chosen are pretty much the best case scenario for each team. I didn’t take the full schedule picking the winners. I picked the records based on how well I thought they could do this year, based on the talent they have RIGHT NOW. For example, I expect Oakland and Detroit to struggle, because they struggled last year, while I expect teams like Tennessee, Pittsburgh, New England, etc to play well because they played well last year and haven’t had major losses during the off season that would lead me to think that they will play poorly this year.
